Another tattoo for my aunt. It's rough right now, but I'm gonna render it digitally soon. This one pictures a woman rising out of a lotus, wrapped in the American flag and reaching for her "guiding star". The image is partially contained inside a tear.
My aunt's husband has been with the Marines for a few years now, and he is now fighting on the front lines in Afghanistan. So, that's what this tattoo is all about. When she gets it done (I have no idea when), I'll try to convince her to let me put the finished image up.
Please do not steal this tattoo for your own use, especially because it's such personal design. If I catch you with this on your body, I'll sever the part of you that contains it and grind it into a fine puree. And then I'll make you eat it. In front of a mirror.
